The case
Grupo Cobra operated with three completely disconnected critical systems: an internal human resources management system (GIA), a SaaS payroll and HR platform (REC), and an accounting ERP system (Dynamics NAV). The lack of integration between these systems led to manual rework, data duplication, and errors that directly impacted financial closings and the operations of the Human Resources department across four countries.
The challenge was clear: automate the data flow between the three systems, ensure accounting traceability, adapt the solution to each country’s labor regulations, and meet a fixed five-month deadline with a phased rollout, without disrupting the experience of current users.
The solution
EvolutecC designed and developed integration middleware that connects the GIA, REC, and Dynamics NAV systems in real time, with a phased rollout across four countries using the Scrum methodology.
The solution included bidirectional integration with automated data flows between the three systems, secure authentication using JWT, and role-based and country-based access control; an AWS infrastructure with continuous monitoring and high availability; and a React + Next.js frontend that reused the existing UI to ensure continuity in the user experience.
Two months after launch, Grupo Cobra expanded the scope with a dynamic labor provision management module for Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Chile, integrated into the middleware currently under development and fed by TOTVS.
The result
Thanks to its partnership with EvolutecC, Grupo Cobra has established an integrated and automated technology ecosystem capable of supporting its operations in four countries with different labor regulations.
Key findings:
- Complete elimination of manual data transfer processes between GIA, REC, and Dynamics NAV.
- Full traceability throughout the financial closing cycles, with a reduction in operational errors.
- Solution rolled out to four countries, with autonomous management of regulatory differences in each territory.
User experience was preserved by reusing the existing frontend, enabling immediate, frictionless adoption.
Scope was expanded two months after launch with the labor provisions module, solidifying a trajectory of sustained growth.
